Restoration of Hope, a Texarkana-based nonprofit ministry aiding men transitioning from prison or homelessness, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new bunkhouse facility on Wednesday, December 6, at 11 a.m., located at 1116 Walnut Street in Texarkana, Texas. Along with the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, Restoration of Hope invites the public to attend to learn more about the organization, tour the new bunkhouse, and enjoy refreshments.
Founded in 2020, Restoration of Hope has been a beacon of support for more than 1,500 men seeking a fresh start. They offer 90day and 6-month programs that provide these men with the opportunity for a fresh start, including: transitional housing; addiction, family, and spiritual counseling; On-the-job vocational training in trades including welding, electrician work, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, and catering; Medical and dental care assistance; And help securing documents needed for employment.
The ministry provides a faith-based home, addressing fundamental needs such as housing, food, transportation, accountability, and spiritual guidance. Restoration of Hope’s unique approach involves helping men establish a daily routine centered around Christ, paving the way for employment, restored family relationships, basic financial planning, and the development of personalized life skills.
