Jay (Tony) Coulter Covert was born on February 20th, 1946, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to parents Albert Coulter Covert and Muriel Gail Hamilton. He passed away on December 18th, 2023. Tony lived in many states, including North Carolina, California, Florida, and Texas.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter, mechanic, and race car driver. He is preceded in death by his uncle, Ed Hamilton, and his lovely wife, Joyce Dell Covert, who passed away in 2010. They had a wonderful life together and enjoyed traveling throughout the country.
He is survived by his four sisters, Laney, Christine, Robin and Bugar, and his aunt, Evelyn Hamilton, and children: Jay Covert and wife Cindy, Brian Covert, Wade Mitchell and wife Carrie, Kelly Braucht and husband Ralph, Lisa Perkins and husband Brian; along with nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
