The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office ended the year with $350,000 to purchase seven new vehicles at the regular meeting of the Bowie County Commissioners Court.
The court unanimously approved the purchase of four new Ford Explorers and three transport vans for the BCSO. The new Explorers will be assigned to deputies for patrols.
“Those are fleet vehicles. We replace several on an annual basis and try to keep them rotated because they get a lot of mileage. With the deputies driving all across the county, we have to rotate a few of them out every year,” said Bowie County Sheriff Jeff Neal.
