Avery Independent School District’s new police chief said after years of patrolling for crime, protecting students is a way to make a difference.
“I feel like I’m finally in a position where I can make a difference in something and help out here, maybe give the kids growing up a positive role model they can look at in law enforcement,” said Brian Hamric.
Last week, Hamric was announced as the district’s newly appointed police chief.
