It has been years since I stood behind a pulpit and preached the Word of God to a congregation. The fire to do so again is kindled, but not this week.
This past Sunday saw preachers all over the area grappling to find the right words to speak to a community that has lost so much in just a week. The home going of Dr. Wiggins, Nancy Carlow and then Jessica Burgin, and others, left an indelible impression on hearts and souls all over our area.
In our grief we can only find solace in the fact that each are now in the place that all Christians strive to be one day.
