God is Always Good

Hello everyone! It has been a minute but I hope you’re well. Today I want to talk about loss. Loss is hard and I do not mean I lost my keys. I mean losing a person you love. It is one of the hardest things in the world to deal with. But we must know we need to be faithful to GOD through our hardship.

For example, the DeKalb community lost a very very special woman in Mrs. Jessica Burgin. Jessica Burgin was a gem of DeKalb and DeKalb school. Jessica was strong in her Faith; she was courageous for JESUS. She never let anything stand in the way of her loving JESUS. She showed DISD athletes and students how to win with humility, lose with integrity, and do it all for GOD’S glory. She was a woman of strong faith. When I think of Jessica Burgin I think firm in faith. When we lose loved ones we do not need to isolate ourselves from loved ones we need to surround ourselves with people who care. We do not need to run from JESUS, we should cling to JESUS.

If you know someone who is struggling with loss, pray for peace over their life; peace that makes no sense. Comfort them, cry with them, laugh with them, do whatever they need. Right now I need my prayer warriors to join us while we pray for peace and comfort over the Burgin family. Pray for the Dekalb community and DISD school. Whenever you hear the song “CHRIST IS MY FIRM FOUNDATION. THE ROCK ON WHICH I STAND. HE’S FAITHFUL FOR GENERATIONS. SO WHY WOULD HE FAIL NOW. HE WON’T.” Think of Jessica Burgin.
