Locals find a taste of Italy at Roma

If you are looking for your next meal, look no further than Downtown New Boston where, seated between the Tribune office and Barfield’s Home & Supply, is a little piece of Italy. Roma opened its doors at 11 am Monday, January 8, to much jubilation, both from residents in and around New Boston and us in the Tribune office alike. And, while Kenny, Allyson and I weren’t the first patrons through the door, we definitely weren’t far behind. From the moment you walk in the doors, your senses are swept away from Northeast Texas. The smells of the Mediterranean enter your nose and the sounds of Italian music invade your ears.

Tribune begins new series of restaurant reviews of west Bowie eateries

But it’s the food that will really have you thinking you have been swept away to the canaled streets of Venice, the Tuscan countryside or even the sandy beaches of Sicily.
