TEXARKANA, Texas -- Concerns continue growing as construction approaches its 4 year mark on the Texarkana Interstate Highway System.
Interstate 30 (I-30) works as a thoroughfare for travel and trade of important east-west connections. With continuous roadway aging, it is necessary to address the safety and capacity needs of the interstate system.
“As we work on this project to maintain and reconstruct this roadway, we have combined it with a planned widening to perform all of this work as one project,” said TxDot public information officer Heath-er Deaton. “The goal is to minimize disruption to the traveling public.”
