Work begins on new facilities at NBISD

Administrators at New Boston Independent School District said out with the old and in with the new field house.

Demolition of the old field house at New Boston High School began last week to make way for construction of the new athletic complex on the campus.

In May 2023, voters passed a bond election measure that would allow the district to sell a bond for up to $10 million without raising tax dollars. This bond was to fund the construction of the athletic complex and a new career and technological education building.
