Baseball and softball lineups around the area took to the field last week for diamond action as the spring seasons got underway with tournament play and local matchups.
The DeKalb Bears split a pair of games on Friday and Saturday starting off with a 25-5 win over Chapel Hill on Friday and then a 9-3 loss to the Pirates of James Bowie.
Jaylen White earned the win against Chapel Hill as the lineup accounted for 16 hits in the game. Walker Matteson took the loss against the Pirates.
