The Texarkana Area Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America held a chili cookoff fundraiser at the Truman Arnold Student Center at Texarkana College February 16. Local businesses, organizations and veterans competed to find out who had the best chili. The contest was judged by the public. Funds from the cookoff were to help purchase a transport van to drive veterans to appointments at the Veterans Affairs office in Shreveport.
The Texarkana Area Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America is hosting the sixth annual Wagons for Veterans.
The event will be at the Four States Fairgrounds on Saturday, March 9.
