New Boston FFA Chapter has had an eventful year. The 2023-2024 Chapter Officers are President Sawyer Hobson, Vice-President Seth Miller, Secretary Karli Hooks, Treasurer Novaleigh Wilkey, Reporter Caden Hayes, Sentinel Bryce Miller, Student Advisor Eliza Upchurch, Chaplain Makenzie Smith, Historian Elizabeth Hickerson, and Parliamentarian Malarie Zuniga.
The year began with a bang with three recipients of the Lone Star FFA Degree: Eliza Upchurch, Seth Miller and Austin Walker. Additionally, there were 4 American FFA Degree recipients: Dawson Parker, Dylan Brown, Dalton Daniel and Kennedy Crosby.
The school year kicked off with a successful swing for the livestock show team at Four States Fair and East Texas State Fair. The livestock show team consists of breeding heifers shown by Karli Hooks, Eliza Upchurch, and Wynter Dillard, market goats shown by Zoey Ward, Savannah Williams, and Kenzie Smith, and market swine exhibited by Kalea Johnson, Seth Miller and Caden Hayes.
