Maud ISD’s FFA Program has had an amazing year. We have participated in numerous FFA activities at school and on the road around Texas!! We Love to fulfill our motto of learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live, and living to serve.
Our yearly FFA journey started in Dallas this summer as our Officer teams attended the State FFA Convention. Our officers participated in numerous team building activities, attended convention sessions, learned some amazing skills at workshops, and snuck in an all you can eat taco Tuesday at Uncle Julio’s.
Our FFA Officers came home with a goal of bringing all our School together through food and fellowship. Officers decided to start off a little corny having our first ever welcome back to school corn roast. It will definitely be a yearly tradition. FFA Members, faculty and staff loved being a little corny to start the school year :). Officers followed up the corn roast with our yearly aggie games meeting. It included a Hot dog eating contest, cornhole tournament, and an egg toss. To cap it off our ag dept smoked turkey legs for the meeting. Yum!!!! We finished off the year with our Christmas FFA meeting which included our yearly Chili Cookoff won by Kristie Hawkins.
