Now that the March primary is past, whether there be a runoff looming or not, I am glad to say that I am done commenting on politics in this space for a while.
Instead, let’s try to focus again on the positive things of life, instead of the utter ugliness that is politics in our world today.
Let me start with congratulating all of the ladies that were crowned at the Miss DeKalb pageant Saturday night. I will be the first to admit that pageants are just not my thing, but I always smile when a new set is crowned, especially in DeKalb, because most of the town I know the family and have watched those young ladies grow up. That is definitely the case with this year’s Miss DeKalb, Bailey Birdsong.
