It was another weekend of tournament play for our baseball and softball teams around the area.
The DeKalb Bears traveled to play in the Commerce tournament and came home with three wins and a tie. The wins included a 7-1 dub over Alba-Golden, a 10-0 shutout of the host squad from Commerce and a 3-1 win over Whitewright in the finale.
Against Alba-Golden, Mario Salinas went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI’s and Bryan Rosas notched the win on the hill giving up one run on a pair of hits and two strikeouts.
