This past weekend I was out for a drive just to get some fresh air and a litte sun and I came across a group sitting out in front of a local auto parts store in New Boston.
It is fairly obvious when you see a pop up canopy in a parking lot that there is some kind of fundraiser going on, so I pulled in and sure enough there were some parents and kids and several tables covered with baked goodies. They were having their bake sale to raise some money for a local youth baseball team.
Over the years there is no tellin’ how many of these we have all been too, and they are all great causes, and one of the best investments you can ever make, because it is an investment into our local kids. Kids that play youth sports usually get older and play school sports, and we all know how much our school sports teams mean to us. I mean, ask a Bear fan what their team means to them and they are likely to prick a finger and prove to you that their blood runs orange and black.
