Hello, I hope you are having a great week! It is Easter week!! I love Easter for so many reasons most of all being it is the day that Jesus arose!
Last Sunday was Palm Sunday when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey as they shouted Hosanna and all was joyful and worshiping GOD. But, this Friday Jesus will be crucified on the cross for our sins! Then this Sunday is Easter!, when Jesus rose from the dead! But I want to talk about how JESUS had to die for us to get to Easter! I am not trying to bring the mood down, but it is true! Jesus hung on the cross that fateful day for us! We sometimes focus too much on Easter and the happy part. I am not saying that is necessarily bad, but we need to also remember the death. Jesus hung on that cross for us. A perfect sinless man died because of our uncleanness. That is so so powerful!
But I also want to talk about the man hanging beside Jesus. This man was telling the man on the other side of Jesus to basically be quiet! The man who was being told to be quiet by the other man was being rude and mean to Jesus and this man wouldn’t here of it. He basically said Be quiet! We’re here because we deserve to be and Jesus did nothing wrong! He told Jesus ¨Remember me¨!
