The Redwater Dragons notched their third straight big win on Friday with a 9-5 victory over district foe New Boston. The win came on the heels of districts dubs over DeKalb and Hooks.
In last Tuesday’s 7-0 shutout of the Bears, Johnson put in a dominant performance on the bump for Redwater tossing a one-hit complete game, including 10 strikeouts.
In the Friday win over the Lions, the bats on both sides were hot as Redwater had 10 hits in the game and New Boston had seven. For the Dragons, Levi Johnson, Tanner James, Brody Johnson and Cade Pipes had RBI’s in the contest. For the Lions, Newt Taylor had a pair of runs batted in and Xavier Rowden and Eli Barrett also had RBI’s in the game.
