The batting cages of De Kalb High School’s baseball field will forever read “Joe Anderson Field.”
Ahead of De Kalb’s Friday night game versus Ore City, legendary Bears coach Joe Anderson cut the ribbon on the very field where he built a powerhouse baseball program.
De Kalb’s baseball batting cages bear Anderson’s name in white writing with a logo containing crossed baseball bats and the state of Texas with a D printed in the middle. A subliminal touch was added with Anderson’s signature lingering in the corner of one of the baseball bats.
