Road construction crews will be a regular fixture on an eight mile stretch of U.S. Hwy 259 while the Texas Department of Transportation repairs the highway.
Crews will be resurfacing the roadway from about two miles south of Farm to Market Road 561 north to Ward Creek. The work began April 10 and is set to be underway for about 18 months, TxDOT said in a press release.
“The work timeline is subject to weather and other unforeseen circumstances,” said Heather Deaton, Tx-DOT Atlanta District public information officer, in a press release.
