DeKalb native creates a haven for early learning in Malta

A new home-based daycare business in De Kalb is focused on family-friendly care for children in the area.

Taylor Burchett, who is a longtime De Kalb native and a 2013 graduate of De Kalb High School, initially began her educational journey in the public school system of Conroe, TX before taking the leap to start her own business.

“It was always my plan to work in early education. This idea first sparked my interest when I started my oldest child in daycare. I loved finding great childcare and once we did, I got really interested in it. It was a dream of mine to open my own daycare and make other parents feel the way that I felt having quality childcare,” said Burchett.
