McDaniel named DeKalb Chamber Person of the Year

Donna McDaniel said volunteering is something she loves doing, not something she does for recognition.

McDaniel was named the 2023 DeKalb Person of the Year at this year’s Chamber of Commerce banquet.

”It’s of course a huge honor. And I was very surprised … I’m very grateful to be recognized, especially when you look at the people that have been recognized before you and all that they’ve contributed to the community. But I don’t do the things I do in this community for the award. It’s nice to be recognized. But I do it because I love this town and I just want everything that we do to be top notch. That’s important to me,” she said.
