Being named the 2024 DeKalb Alumni of the Year came as a big shock to Ted Martin.
“I had no idea I had received that accomplishment. They (family) kind of came up with a scenario Landon was going to serve and we had to go. They shocked me, that’s for sure,” Martin said. Martin has been part of the DeKalb Future Farmers of America Alumni since 2019 and serves as the president.
“It’s been fun. The alumni needed some help when I got there five years ago,” Martin said.
