The Hooks Junior High Cheer squad held a Kiss the Pig fundraiser last week where staff, students and anyone else were invited to donate their spare change to help raise money for the squad.
Five HJH staffers each had a jar and the one with the most spare change collected won the honor of kissing a pig during the special pep rally held last Friday afternoon. The staffers included Ms. Odom, Mr. Birthright, Mrs. Baird, Mrs.
Graves and Mr. Edwards, with Mrs. Tammy Baird coming out the big winner and earning the dubious honor of kissing “Porkchop” on the snout.
