Project Lifesaver to aid finding the lost in NE Texas

A partnership between the Cass County and Miller County Sheriff’s Offices, and the Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area will offer a Project Lifesaver program that will aid families of those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, as well as Autism and Down Syndrome.

A partnership between the Cass County and Miller County Sheriff’s Offices, and the Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area will offer a Project Lifesaver program that will aid families of those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, as well as Autism and Down Syndrome.

On May 21st and 22nd the Cass County and Miller County Sheriff’s Offices completed two days of Project Lifesaver training.

The program is now available in Cass County, Texas and Miller County, Arkansas, as well as Bowie County, Texas which has been in place since January 2024. The mission is to provide timely responses to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children who wander due to a cognitive condition.
