The DeKalb Economic Development Corporation was recognized by the Texas Economic Development Council as a 2023 Economic Excellence Recognition program recipient. The announcement came at the 2024 TEDC Annual Winter Conference in San Antonio. The DEDC was one of only 72 economic development organizations in the state to be recognized. This is the second year the DEDC has earned the state distinction. “The TEDC’s Economic Excellence Recognition program is one of the ways in which our organization honors the outstanding commitment to excellence of our communities and regions, their leaders, and their economic development professionals have toward the professionalization of their economic development efforts,” noted Carlton Schwab, TEDC president and CEO.
