I woke up a little late this morning, jumped out of bed, hit the shower real quick and ran out the door with a short pat on the head for my dog and a peck on the lips for my wife. It’s summer, so the kids were still asleep and I didn’t have time to wake them.
Trying still to pull myself together on the way to the office, there was a check of the radio to see if there was anything happening in the world, a stop for a cup of coffee, and then made it to the office just in time. Whew, 6:55, just five minutes to spare.
The usual early morning meeting with co-workers, and then it was back in the car and on the streets, doing what I love to do. I like to talk to people when I am out of the office. You know, stop at Skaggs for some gas and a maybe a crispito for breakfast, go by the school and see what’s going on up there, maybe talk to the coach and find out how the team is going to look this year. Just simple stuff, everyday...commonplace... routine.
