As the Wild Wild West of Lithium exploration and extraction begins its impact on Northeast Texas, EnergyX has announced its intent to create a Lithium Plant in the Ark-La-Tex region. The Journal-Sun has reached out to EnergyX regarding a timeline, economic and ecological impact, and where they are looking to build the new project. As of Monday, we have not received any feedback, a follow-up article may be coming in the weeks to come with this information.
Lithium is in the news of late for the region after finding out that Cass County and the Ark-La-Tex are sitting on one of the highest- grade lithium deposits in the world. Recently there was a bill that was passed that gives the governing right to oversee the regulations for lithium extraction, however, since there are no regulations in place yet there is still a lot of ambiguity and waiting.
The release is as follows: Energy Exploration Technologies Inc. (EnergyX) has announced a major lithium project in North America, Project Lonestar Lithium. The project aims to solidify EnergyX’s position as a leader in the global energy transition and bid to help secure the US battery supply chain.
