Violet Rose Wilson of De Kalb, Texas passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at a Texarkana, Texas care facility. She was 81. Violet was born February 12, 1943, in De Kalb, Texas, to Hooper Anson and Katherine Whitecotton Norris. She worked as a Proof Operator for State Bank of De Kalb for 36 years. She was of the Christian faith. Violet loved to sew for her grandkids and was well known in the community as a talented seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harlton Norris and Troy Norris; and two sisters, Ima Lou Richardson and Jannie Porter.
She is survived by son and a daughter-in-law, Jason and Shawnna Wilson of De Kalb, Texas; their children, Dru Wilson and his wife, Alaina, and Sydni Wilson; their grandchild, Whitley Wilson; son, Mike McDonald of New Boston, Texas; his son, Kevin McDonald and his wife Tonya; his grandchildren, Mason McDonald and Ayla Thomas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Vera and Gene Keechi of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Donna and Roy Sturdivant of Texarkana, Texas; a sister-in-law, Vicki Norris of Independence, Kansas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
