The battle you are facing is real. The wrestlings of your heart, the fear that paralyzes you, the lies that imprison you—even the unrelenting waves of shame, regret, or worry that threaten to drown you are real, too, and life is hard. Maybe you’re hiding your brokenness and struggles from others, but you and I know the truth: life can feel overwhelming. But, dear friend, there is hope because Jesus’s rescue is real. He is there. Reach for Him; He is there to embrace you with love and comfort and give you His strength.
And remember, Jesus doesn’t intend for you to be crushed or destroyed. He overcame death itself! You can live with the assurance that He can carry you until you find the strength to dance again. Remember, Jesus conquered the grave, and He catches our tears, wraps His arms around us, and reminds us to hold on, to press on, and to become a light for Him.
Life is still hard, and things happen—difficult things that cause us to worry and live with sorrow and fear. Some days, we don’t have all the answers or understanding, but Jesus doesn’t abandon us in those challenging moments. Jesus isn’t angry at us when we ask questions and struggle. So climb into His lap and let Him hold you. He won’t run out on you because you haven’t mastered today, either. Remember, God sees your pain and is right there with you in the midst of it all.
