Mayor Walker announces $500k revitalization grant

The City of De Kalb will soon see improvements made to its streetscape facilities after a grant was awarded to the City for revitalization.

DeKalb Mayor Lowell Walker said, “De Kalb received a $500,000 grant from the Texas Department of Agriculture under the Downtown Revitalization Program (DRP). “

“This program provides infrastructure dollars to cities to assist with reconstructing streetscape facilities,” said Walker. “The application process is competitive, De Kalb worked on the application for over a year from planning to submission to our award.”
