August has come to Northeast Texas, and with the August heat comes the Hottest Festival in Texas, New Boston Pioneer Days. Pioneer Days 2024 is guaranteed to have something for everyone, with this year’s festival, themed “80’s Rewind,” set to take us back to the good ol’ days with music, carnival rides and entertainment for all ages.
All of the usuals are back for another year as this year’s Pioneer Days will feature the pancake breakfast hosted by the New Boston VFD, a mud run that always brings excitement, the downtown parade, the Round Up Club Rodeo, and so much more.
The 53rd annual rodeo will kick things off this Friday and Saturday night with high flying rodeo action and added money. On Saturday, the car show returns to T&P Trail Head Park at 10 a.m. and then this Saturday night be sure and come downtown and enjoy the street dance with local entertainers, The Shelton Band, after the rodeo.
