Harold Royce Baldwin, 83, passed away on July 13, 2024. “Royce”, as he was called by his family, was born on November 27, 1940, in Lonoke, Arkansas to Buna and Ellis Baldwin.
Harold retired from the Texas Highway Department in New Boston, Texas. He also served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the New Boston Police Department.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one great-granddaughter, Ellie Baldwin.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by family and friends. His family was his pride and joy. His greatest joy in his life was being a grandpa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He showed tremendous love for his family and always made sure to say, “I Love You”.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Lois Baldwin, of Wickes, Arkansas; two daughters, Rhona Meads and husband Timothy of Tyler, TX, Cathy McCarthy and husband Kevin of Caddo Mills, TX; one son, Tim Baldwin and wife Christy of Magnolia, AR; seven grandchildren, Andrew Meads and wife Jenna, Hannah Kendall and husband Carter, Jacob McCarthy and wife Chelsea, Joshua Baldwin and fiancé Sabrah, Nicholas Meads and wife Jenna, Patrick McCarthy and wife Mackenzie, and Hayden Baldwin; fourteen great-grandchildren, Larkin, Truett, Hudson Royce, Caden, Layne, Beckham, Dana Lynn, Madeline, Emmie, Millie, Nicholas Harold (Hal), Berkeley, Callie and Patrick; one sister, Barbara McMillan and husband Bob of California; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Cremation services were under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home.
