Residents spoke on a proposed tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year and a burn ban and water conservation plan passed at a special session of the DeKalb City Council Friday evening.
A public hearing of the 2024-2025 proposed tax rate was held before a special session of the council to give residents a platform to have their voices heard.
The proposed tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year is $0.456166 per $100 property valuation. That is a drop of $0.015063.
