Gifted and talented referrals for Redwater Independent School District students in grades 1-11 will be accepted from Friday , September 6 until Monday, September 16, 2024 Please be sure that all referrals are turned in by 3:30 on Monday, September 16, 2024. Late referral forms will not be accepted after the deadline.
Characteristics of gifted children include unique and unusual ways of solving problems, putting unrelated ideas together in new and different ways, an advanced vocabulary, ease or speed of learning, exceptional memory, and an ability to express themselves well.
Teachers, counselors, parents, and interested community members are welcome to refer students for the program. You may pick up a referral packet from your school’s office beginning Friday, September 6, 2024.
