It is Friday night football time in Northeast Texas, and with a host of our local teams in the same district, the action matters each week.
On Friday, the Hooks Hornets and the DeKalb Bears ended the night as big winners as the Hornets overpowered Harmony by a score of 40-20, and the Bears racked up over 500 yards of total offense as they crushed Mineola by a score of 48-20.
The Bears were dominant in their first game of the season as senior QB Jaylen White showed everyone that he can play the position, and play it well. White ended the game with 224 yards passing and another 60 on the ground, and three touchdown passes.
