The DeKalb Bears were once again the lone victor in local football action last Friday night as they pawed their way to a 44-20 win over the visiting Harmony Eagles.
It was a banner night for DeKalb quarterback and this week’s Dairy Queen Player of the Week Jaylen White. White put up some stellar numbers in the game as the senior QB accounted for four touchdowns on the night, one on the ground and three more through the air. White ended the game with 391 yards of total offense including 14 of 19 passing for 345 yards and another 45 yards on the ground.
As a team, the Bears clipped the Eagles’ wings with over 500 yards of total offense as Kayden Wherry rushed for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns and also caught five passes for 144 yards and two more forays into the end zone.
