District play kicked off for a few of our local coverage football teams last week and when the dust settled it was a mixed bag of wins and losses.
On the night, Hooks, DeKalb, Maud and New Boston came up with wins in their district matchups, while the James Bowie Pirates and Redwater Dragons took losses.
The DeKalb Bears celebrated Homecoming Night with a stunning 60-27 win over the visiting Hughes Springs Mustangs.
