Hooks traveled to Queen City on Friday, September 27th and came up short in the Varsity match in 4; 1525, 26-24, 16,25, 25-21. Zoey Greenwood had a total of 13 serving points and Madison Lewis had 7 serving points, one of those being an ace. Deonna Johnson had 19 kills and Anna Beth Black had 12 kills. Madison Lewis also had 27 assists and Sidney Haley had a total of 10. Zoey Greenwood led the dig count with 21 and Keeli Harris added 10. Chaning Barber had a total of 2 blocks.
The Lady Lions also chalked up some wins last week, including a win over the Lady Bulldogs from Queen City last Tuesday. The Lady Lions battled back from a first set loss to win the match in four sets with the final score in the district matchup 14-25, 25-7, 2519, 25-16.
New Boston’s Makayla Bell had 12 kills and a pair of blocks in the contest and Bo Hurst paced the Lady Lions with 21 assists to go along with her four service aces, three digs and a kill.
