Jessica Davis Redwater ISD

Teaching her students family and life skills, Jessica Davis said she feels she is preparing her students for life outside of high school.

Davis is the teacher for Family and Consumer Sciences at Redwater High School and holds a degree in hospitality.

“A big part of hospitality is customer service. Even though I’m a teacher, this is still a customer service setting,” she said. “The big thing about FCS is they turn into self-sufficient adults one day … The main goal is to take them from that they’re doing in class and helping them to use these skills in their careers and in their personal lives.”Jessica also serves as the advisor for the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America program.
