The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office has received several calls from citizens reporting they were contacted by “Lieutenant Young” who claims to work for BCSO.
“Lt. Young” informed these citizens they had warrants for them and they needed to pay him to avoid being arrested. The payment demands were for credit or prepaid cards over the phone.
This is a scam. We do not employee a lieutenant with the last name of Young and we never take payments over the phone. The phone number that “Lt. Young” is calling from is 903-8573075.
