Today I want to mention my brother.He played his last football game this past Saturday and I truly admire my brother for his determination and work ethic. I am thankful for him. That is just what I want to talk to you about today, thanksgiving- not the holiday, but the act of giving thanks constantly in all circumstances. At church last week we talked about being thankful for the good and bad. We heard the story of Corrie ten Boom. It’s an amazing story! It talks about how her family hid Jewish people during the nazi-invasion and they were Christians sent to a concentration camp. Her and her sister had to sleep on flea-infested hay and were in a crowded dorm and they thanked GOD for the fleas because in 1 Thessalonians 18:20 it says, “give thanks in all circumstances”. Corrie and her sisiter had Bible studies and women were saved, but the guards never found out because they would not go in the flea infested dorm. WOW! PRAISE GOD IN EVERYTHING! My Dad talked about this in his sermon! Truly giving thanks in everything! GOD has full control and will use all things for his GLORY! KNOW THAT! LIVE IN THAT! God is in control. I know you hear this a lot but IT IS TRUE!! God is in control Hallelujah! HAVE A GREAT WEEK! NEED A CHURCH? FBC DK THIS SUNDAY 9:30-Small groups, 10:45-Worship/ Message see you there! Harper is the 13 year old daughter of James and Mindy Sparks. Harper is 7th grader at James L.Germany middle school. She is a part of the Lady Cub athletics and is a cheerleader for the mighty Cubs! Harper is very involved in her church from helping with kids’ camps, being involved in youth events, and more! Harper is passionate about her writing and wants to let each person who reads her writing GOD LOVES YOU AND HAS A PLAN FOR YOU! She is a lifelong learner who enjoys writing, playing volleyball, being with friends or family, and spending lots of time in her church fellowship
