The Bowie County Master Gardeners are pleased to announce that their 2025 Intern Training Class will begin January 30.
A Master Gardener is a person interested in gardening and horticulture. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and dedicated to helping others.
They receive special training in horticulture in exchange for contributing time as volunteers in their county, working through their county’s Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office to provide horticulture-related information to their communities. Classes begin January 30, with 35 hours of virtual and 15 hours of hands-on training. Intern candidates must complete an online volunteer introduction course and pass a criminal background check prior to beginning the course.
