Hello everyone! I hope you’re having an amazing week! Today I want to talk about the ice debacle we went through last weekend. Many peoples’ power went out, icy roads occurred , busted pipes abounded!
This changed my perspective so much. We take a lot for granted! Electricity, heat, etc! Let’s just say Charles Ingalls would not be proud of us! We have all these luxuries that we don’t really even think about. When you’re getting in the shower, we do not think about those people in other countries who don’t have the ability to just bathe in heated and cool running water. But this week I did. I thought about all the small things we should be thankful every day. I know I forget most of the time and I bet you do too! So this week whether you’re taking a shower, using a heater, or just turning on a light switch THANK GOD. I also want to add this. Ice and snow is beautiful, but sometimes you feel isolation, loneliness, sadness. Like when the electricity went out, it’s like losing its zeal and spark.
So many people in our world walk around everyday feeling lonely, sad, isolated. BUT JESUS IS THE LIGHT. If we go to HIM we can be restored with light and it’s like our electricity comes back on. But we as Christians should spread the LIGHT of JESUS to our world. It’s not hard, like simply turning on a light switch! HAVE A GREAT WEEK! YOU are LOVED, VALUED, and BEAUTIFUL in GOD’S eyes!
