The Texas Legislature is back in session and when you read this we will have had a new presidential inauguration. One might think that the winds of change are blowing now, but are they really?
I think it is a tad out of the realm of possibility that having President Trump in office is going to magically make our lives better. We might expect somethings to get a little better. In his last presidency it is hard to argue that the cost of living wasn’t quite so high and we had a few more dollars in our pocket. But, will that happen this time?
One thing that is hard to get around is that when prices of things we have to have to live go up, they go up a lot faster than they go down. I am not going to hold my breath and wait to see a lot more dollars in my checking account.
