This aerial view above shows the area where Beadie White will be closed and where a new temporary access road, TemporaryPark Drive, will be added in DeKalb.
A representative from the DeKalb ISD attended the US 82 January Stakeholders meeting and learned that the caution lights will not be flashing at James L. Germany Middle School starting on February 10th. There will be unlit signs placed informing drivers that the school zone times will be enforced. The times the school zone will be enforced will be 7:20 a.m. through 8:05 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. through 4:15 p.m.
Additionally they will be closing Beadie White Dr. as early as February 10th. They will be building a temporary road called “Temporary Park Drive” as an entrance into Grizzly Drive. This will be the only entrance, except for Runnels, for over a year.
