Good news for the weary

Some of you woke up this morning carrying a heaviness you didn’t sign up for. Maybe it’s the worry that clings like a shadow, doubt that gnaws at your faith, or sadness that won’t shake loose. Perhaps sickness has become too familiar, wrapping around your days like an unwelcome guest. Possibly, heartbreak has knocked the wind out of you, leaving you gasping for hope.

Some of you are wrestling with questions that don’t have easy answers. Why did this happen? Why now? Why me? Maybe fear keeps you up at night, or anger simmers beneath the surface, waiting for an excuse to boil over. Or perhaps the weight of regret presses in, reminding you of things left undone, words left unsaid, and moments that slipped by when you weren’t paying attention.

Or perhaps you’re walking through the valley of cancer, either carrying the battle yourself or holding the hand of someone who is. Maybe your heart is heavy for a loved one who doesn’t know Christ, and the burden feels unbearable. You want to trust God in the middle of this storm, but some days, faith feels like holding onto air.
