The DeKalb Lady Bears continued to be the hottest team in local softball last week as they won their 7th straight game with a 13-2 win over the Redwater Lady Dragons.
DeKalb ace hurler Kaydee Brown was again on fire on the bump with 13 strikeouts on the contest as she notched another win, allowing two runs on just three hits.
At the plate, Mackenzye Carpenter had the big stick with a three-run dinger and a run scoring double leaving her with five RBI’s in the game. TT Ingram, fresh off a state powerlifting championship, lifted a ball over the center field fence to drive in three runs in the 7th to cap the Lady Bears onslaught.
