DeKalb’s TT Ingram wins second straight state powerlifting championship

For the second year in a row, a DeKalb student has claimed the title of best in the state for powerlifting.

Talisha “TT” Ingram, a DeKalb High School junior, is a two-time state powerlifting champion, placing first in the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association (THSWPA) competition in 3A Region 3 Division 2. This year, TT is a record setting champion as well.

“It feels really good to know that, even though I didn’t get most of my lifts I wanted to get, I still came out on top,” she said.
