What Wikipedia Can’t Tell You
Of all the lessons I’ve learned in my life, trust has been by and far the hardest to learn. As a child, I trusted my parents and elders. As I got older, relationships would falter for lack of trust. Even now, in my golden years of retirement, I have difficulty knowing which of my many doctors to trust for my autoimmune disorders. At times in the past, knowing where to place my trust in my spiritual life has been difficult. Can you relate?
As a child we trust our parents. They are our caretakers. When I became a parent, I realized how difficult it is to know what best to do for your children and family. What you do or tell your children to do is based on your own experiences. I would falter whenever I would listen to someone who didn’t have my best interests in mind.
